The High Tech Academy (HTA) School building was designed by Parviainen by Finnish architect Jani Ristimaeki, who has been creating schools in Finland and Scandinavia for 20 years. The project was adapted by the KazGOR Architectural Academy to the norms and culture of Kazakhstan.
The school reflects the needs of the American-Finnish teaching methodology Project-Based Learning (PBL). The school teaches children critical academic and personal skills of the 21st century and makes the most advanced pedagogical practices availablet to students in Almaty. Children are not constrained by classrooms, most of the learning takes place in open spaces, where there is a lot of air and light.
The school construction was started in 2019 and completed in 2020.
